Ginormous Mushrooms

Two years ago, this strange ENORMOUS mushroom (bottom right picture) grew in the backyard. As can be seen in the picture, my hand (about six inches long from palm to finger tips) was barely a third of its width. It was a cool-looking mushroom, but bizarre; I kind of wanted to dig it up and stick it in a flowerpot. Then I could say it was a coral-mushroom.

Last year, TWO mushrooms of the exact same variety grew in the same spot (my shoe, in the upper left picture, is a 9 1/2 US size). One of them was definately better-looking than the other, but neither were comparible to the first.

I wonder if there will be three of them this year....
